Our Story
Since 1986
Southern New England Modular Homes opened in the spring of 1986 at our 420 South Main Street location in Colchester, CT. Our first model home was a 28′ x 44′ Cape Cod, and featured two bedrooms on the first floor, a full bath, and an unfinished second floor.
Additional Model Homes
During the late 1980’s and into the 1990’s the modular industry grew at a fast pace. New designs and technological advancements in the building industry allowed for better designs and more complicated houses. During this time, a custom 2,800 square-foot colonial home was added along with an 1,100 square-foot ranch model.
Since the 1990s, we have continued to showcase three homes at our Model Home Center – one ranch, one cape, and one colonial.
A New Chapter: Southern New England Modular Living
Our new name and logo reflect the exciting developments underway as we move into 2024. Our team is growing, and we are in the process of renovating our website and Model Home Center to showcase the many floor plans, options and upgrades that are currently available.
